Who operates the crematory?
Answer: We proudly own and operate our own state-of-the-art cremation facility, maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and security. Our operations are fully licensed and regulated by the State of Ohio, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), OSHA, the Cremation Association of North America (CANA), and the Ohio State Board of Funeral Directors and Embalmers.
Did you know many funeral homes outsource cremation to third-party facilities—often located in industrial warehouses, garages, or cemetery outbuildings?
Answer: At Tufts Schildmeyer, your loved one never leaves our care. We manage the entire cremation process on-site and cremate only one individual at a time. Our team follows the CANA Cremation Code of Ethics, utilizes Certified Crematory Operators and licensed professionals, and welcomes families to personally tour or inspect our facility.
