Obituary

Wilma Jean (nee Passmore) Conley, 94, passed away peacefully on July 15, 2026. Born September 14, 1931 in Orleans, Indiana, she was raised in Mitchell, Indiana, before settling in Loveland, Ohio, where she and her husband Howard raised their six children.

Jean was preceded in death by Howard, her husband of 64 years, who she lost 10 years ago — and who she missed every day after, even while she kept right on going, strong as ever, for her family. She was also preceded in death by her daughter Barbara Sue Hylton, grandson Joshua Conley, her parents James and Lydia Passmore, five brothers, and one sister.

She is survived by her children Sherry Stagge, Pamela Mullins, Scott (Donna), Tim (Gena), and Matthew (Terri); her grandchildren Sandi (Eric) Armacost, Tony Sattler, Bill (Lindze) Stagge, Bob (Gwen) Mullins, Steven (Stephanie) Mullins, Sean Conley, Patrick (Robert Davis), Andrea (Kyle) Conner, Corissa Miller, Julia Conley, and Liam Conley; 12 great-grandchildren; 16 great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, two sisters, and many nieces and nephews.

Jean never worked outside the home — she didn't need to, because being a mom was the job, and she did it fully. She cooked for her family, cared for her family, and gave everything she had for them without a second thought. She was the matriarch of five generations, and she wore that role proudly. Stubborn as they come, but every bit as generous and loving, Jean's whole world was her family. Nothing lit her up like a house full of great-great-grandbabies — she counted those visits among her happiest days.

She was a faithful member of Church of God International and looked forward every year to the Feast of Tabernacles with her church family. She also cherished her time at the beach.

Jean will be remembered for her generous spirit, her gentle heart, and her unwavering love for her family.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, July 22, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., with the funeral to follow at Tufts Schildmeyer in Loveland, and interment at Graceland Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the American Heart Association.
