After a lengthy battle with cancer, Willy (William H.) Lacy, age 43, of Middletown, Ohio passed away on Thursday, May 21st, 2020 at Hospice of Butler and Warren Counties. Willy is an alumni of Carlisle High school, Served in the Army Reserves, and was employed by Mindlin & Son Recycling. Willy is preceded in death by his mother, Leesa Lynn (Short) Vance; his maternal grandparents, Lyle "Pete" and Donna (Miller) Short; his paternal grandparents, Balford "Toby" and Helen Vance; and his maternal uncle, Michael Dean Short. He is survived by his loving wife, Tammy (Baker) Lacy; a stepson, Justin T. Baker; his father, Jeffrey Vance; two brothers, Shawn S. Short (Ann), and Justin T. Vance (Noelle); a beloved nephew, Gabriel D. Short; two maternal aunts, Deena (Darrell) Hacker, and Rowena (Randy) Richmond; A cousin, Cody Short; his cherished granddaughters and a large extended family. Visitation & Funeral services will take place Thursday, June 4th, 2020 from 5:00p.m. To 7:00p.m. at Tufts Schildmeyer Family Funeral Home, 129 N. Riverside Dr. Loveland, Ohio, 45140. The funeral service will begin at 7:00p.m., immediately following visitation, with Pastor Jon Gibson officiating. A private cremation will follow on Friday, June 5th, 2020, at the Tufts Schildmeyer Cremation center.
