William Gordon Glancy, Jr., 88, of Milford, Ohio, passed away on January 22, 2016. Born November 20, 1927, in Goshen, Ohio, son of William Gordon and Marjorie Helen (nee Hall) Glancy. William owned Glancy's Hardware in Goshen, Ohio, for over 30 years before his retirement. He was a talented athlete for whom baseball was a passion. He was a generous man who treasured his many friends and family. He was the loving father of Ellen Marie (Edward Paul) Lafferty and Jeffrey Allen (Jan Dee) Glancy, proud grandfather of Stephanie Lynn Wethington and Shannon Lee Glancy. William was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Irene (nee Jones) Glancy, his parents, and his sister, Janet Marjorie Glancy. A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 13, at 11 a.m. at Milford First United Methodist Church, 541 Main Street, Milford, Ohio 45150.
