William Stacey Cook of Blue Ash, OH died April 11th with his loving family by his side following a courageous battle with cancer.
Beloved husband of Gloria (Nelson) Cook, and devoted father to sons Jeffrey of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Ryan of Maineville and Adam of Montgomery, OH He is also survived by his grandchildren Madeline, Carson, Ava Cook and Lauren Messenger, sister Nancy Custer of Tyler, TX, niece Kim Roper of Austin, TX, and nephew Chris Custer of Tyler, TX. He was predeceased by his parents Perry and Vi Cook.
Born March 26th 1943 in Lakewood, OH, Bill attended Fairview HS excelling in both track and basketball, garnering citywide recognition. He graduated from Youngstown University where he was President of Delta Sigma Phi. Following graduation he served in the US Army in the military police in Vietnam and was a Military Honor Guard member in our nations Capitol. His working career in Cincinnati included security management with Kroger's and supervisory positions with Quest Diagnostics. An avid sports fan, Bill was devoted to the Reds and the Bengals, but his favorite team was always the team that his sons were playing for, no matter the sport. Always a devoted and supportive family man, he loved spending time with his family and friends and especially loved the family vacations in Hilton Head. He will also be remembered for his infamous one liners. Family always came first for Bill.
The Memorial Service will be held this Sunday at 1:30 pm at the Blue Ash Presbyterian Church.
