William "Bill" Henson of Batavia, OH. Born on December 12, 1933 in Manchester, KY. Went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at the age of 80. Beloved husband of 37 years to Cathleen (Duncan) Henson. Loving father of Brad (Christine) Henson, Gene (Jennifer) Henson, Rochelle Henson and the late Mark Henson. Devoted step-father of William Rust and Richard (Deborah) Rust. Proud Papaw of 11 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. Dear brother of the late Dempsey Henson, Toleman Henson and Doris Barger. Caring half-brother of Lester Griffin. Cherished son of the late Will and Cassie (Brumley) Henson. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and many dear friends. Bill proudly served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict. He worked for 43 years at Ford Motor Company. Services will be on Tuesday, August 19, 12 Noon, at Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home, 1668 St. Rt. 28, Goshen, where friends will be received from 10 AM until the time of service. Interment with military honors, Greenberry Cemetery, Jackson TWP, OH. Memorial donations may be made in memory of Bill Henson to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, PO Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN. 38148-0142 Scott Johnson will be the minister for Bill's services.
