William J. "Bill" Buerk. of Pleasant Plain, passed away on Friday, December 6, 2019 at the age of 66. He was the beloved son of the late William and Marie (Hundemer) Buerk. He is survived by his beloved wife Kimberly (Diltz) Buerk. His devoted daughters Jennifer (Aaron Iliff) Buerk, Lauren (Russ) Achee and Tammy (John) Carmack. Step Children Jeffrey (Beth) Eley and Richele (John) Gutknecht. Siblings Bonnie Buerk and Kathleen Forrester, as well as brother and sister in laws Al and Deb Hitchcock and Kip Diltz. Special cousin Margie Zyck. Bill was devoted grandfather of 10 grandchildren, Britanie and Cody Anderson, Tyler Barkhau, Jeffery and Andriana Eley, Abby and Ray Ann, Ellie and Nolan Achee and Hope Gutknecht. Bill also loved his only great granddaughter Elaina Faulkner. Bill graduated from Purcell High School and was in commercial transportation for many years. He was an avid Ohio State and Cincinnati teams sports fan. He was also an eager fishermen spending many hours on lakes and rivers. Bill was also a veteran of the United States Navy. Family and friends will be received from 11 AM until 12 PM Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at the Tufts Schildmeyer Family Funeral Home 129 N. Riverside Ave. Loveland, OH 45140, where Yeatman Masonic Lodge # 162 F & AM services will begin at 12 Noon followed by the funeral service. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of Jewish Hospital for their kindness and care. In lieu of flowers the family respectfully requests that donations be directed to The Blood and Cancer Center of Jewish Hospital or The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
