William "Bill" A. Stivers of Sarasota, FL, formerly of Milford, OH. Born on July 16, 1932 in Cincinnati, OH. Went home to be with the Lord on March 6, 2017 at the age of 84. Beloved husband of Anna Joyce (nee Hooper) Shreve-Stivers and the late Dorothy Stivers. Loving father of Melinda Vogelsong, Jodi Bell and the late Brenda Slater. Devoted step-father of Sherry (Richard) Hedger, Sandra (Lee) Myers and Jo Ann (Danny) Jenkins. Caring grandfather of 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Georgia Neaves and the late Dorothy Christian, Laura Chism, Louise Kirby, Edna Mesley, Edith Warman and Robert Stivers Jr. Cherished son of the late Robert and Eva (nee Johnson) Stivers. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and many dear friends. Bill proudly served in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict. Friends will be received on Friday, 6-8 PM at Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home, 1668 St. Rt. 28, Goshen, where services will be held on Saturday, March 11 at 10:30 AM. Interment with military honors at Graceland Memorial Gardens, Milford, OH.
