Wesley Allinsmith, PhD, passed away peacefully on May 14, 2015 at the age of 92. He served as a Corporal AAF in 59th Weather Wing during WWII at air bases in England and with the occupational army in Germany, earning him an American Campaign Medal, EAME Campaign Medal, and a World War II Victory Medal. After graduating Princeton University in 1947, he earned his PhD at the University of Michigan. He taught for 3 years at Michigan, followed by 6 years at Harvard before becoming the Psychology Department Head at the University of Cincinnati in 1961. In the early 70's he established and taught the undergraduate course in Human Sexuality at UC before retiring in 1983. Dr. Allinsmith is survived by his 3 children, Bryan Balch Allinsmith, Wendy Allinsmith, and Craig Allinsmith, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Burial will be private. Memorials may be made to the University of Cincinnati Department of Women's, Gender, & Sexuality Studies 'Allinsmith Fund.'
