Wendell "Buddy" Wise of Pleasant Plain, OH, formerly of Amelia, OH, went home to be with the Lord on August 7, 2024, at the age of 88. Wendell was born on September 27, 1935, in Cincinnati, OH to Festus and Juanita Wise.

Beloved husband of the late Ruth Ann (nee Deubel) Wise. Loving father of Wendy (late Curtis) Paul (Robert Smith), Rodney (Marie) Wise, Rick Tichnell, John Patterson, Connie (John) Lucas, and Debbie (Dave Evers) Goins. Proud grandfather of 15 grandchildren, the late Josh Paul and 12 great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Sharon Riley and the late Charlotte Gill, Yvonne Morton, Thomas Wise and Ronald Wise. Cherished son of the late Festus Adrian and Juanita Louise (nee Morgan) Wise. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and many dear friends.

Wendell served 22 years in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict and Vietnam War. He was a member of the Mt. Carmel American Legion Post 72 and Branch Hill VFW Post 5354.

Friends will be received from 11 AM to 1 PM on Wednesday, August 14 at Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home, 1668 St. Rt. 28, Goshen, where American Legion services will begin at 1 PM on Wednesday, followed by funeral services. Pastor Larry Gee officiating.

The burial with military honors to follow at Graceland Memorial Gardens, Milford, OH.
