Obituary

Weldon Ronald DeLorenze was born in Pittsburgh, PA on November 9, 1932 to the late Joseph and Pearl DeLorenze, and passed away August 5, 2022. Loving husband of Eileen; father of Timothy DeLorenze, Janey (James) Tepe, and Karen Bare (deceased) (Ken). Grandfather of Christina (Jose) Camacho, Corey (Carla) Minix, Shane (Danielle) Newman, Erin Minix, Steven (Kirsten) Tepe, Logan (Kristen) Newman, Ashley (Branden) Watts, Michael Tepe, Kalynn DeLorenze, and Lilyana Delorenze, . Great grandfather of Jake, Collin, Landon, Kendal, Leo, Casey Weldon, Kairigan, Scarlett, James, and the late Jared Camacho. Brother of Shirley Gullo and the late Roy DeLorenze. Uncle to many nieces and nephews. Weldon attended Shaler High School and The University of Pittsburgh. The Printing and Paper Research Department provided the essential technical engineering for Champion International Co. and International Papers for employment in various parts of the country. Weldon forever changed every room he entered with smiles, singing and dancing, and fun antics filling it with a joyful experience and spirit. The DeLorenze home was always open frequently for guests, and always family functions for birthdays, festive occasions, and of course Christmas. Weldon proudly served his country in the Korean War. He founded the Epworth Methodist Church in Allison Park, PA. He was involved in many organizations including Lithographers and Italian Club, Polish American Society, Pemican Run President, Sycamore Singers, and ministered at Good Shepherd. He received a Distinguished Medal of Honor through his earlier years of education from his classmates. A private memorial will be held for family and close friends. In lieu of flowers, remembrances can be made in Weldon's name to Hospice of Cincinnati, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Matthew 25 Ministries or to Ukrainian Refugees.
