Obituary

Wavey C., of Maineville, passed away May 3, 2016 at the Ohio Veterans Home, Georgetown and went home to be with the Lord. Devoted and beloved husband of nearly 60 years to Celia "Sally" Sexton. Loving and devoted father of Randy, Karen ("Pete" Richard) Dickens, Wavey Steven (Jenny), Jeff (Mel), Philip (Kelly) and Tony Sexton. Survived by his sister Helen Bentley, Garry (Kathy) and Mike Sexton. Many nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceded in death by his parents Wavey Jewell and Ruth Mae (Harper) Sexton and brothers Paul, Robert, Donald and Jesse and sister Gladys Joann Royal. He was a friendly outgoing person, never knew a stranger, and was always there to help his family and his friends. Served in the Navy from 1955-1959 for 7 months on the USS Hornet CVA-12, as an Aviation Machinist Mate Third Class; reenlisted in the US Navy from 1962-1964 VU3 Squadron. He worked at General Motors Local 674 until retirement. Friends will be received Saturday, May 7 from 9-11 AM in the Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home, 129 N. Riverside Dr., Loveland, where funeral services will follow at 11 AM. Interment Maineville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Ohio Veterans Home or to Hospice.
