Wanda Lee (nee Arliss) Chowning, of Blanchester, Ohio, passed away on September 11, 2024, at her home, surrounded by family.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 69-years, Earl Chowning; her mother, Jetta Lee (nee Bond) Arliss; and son, George Bond Chowning.

Wanda is survived by her children, Tony (Brenda) Chowning, Allan Chowning, Judy (James) Arrowood, Melissa Eury, and daughter in law, Amanda Chowning. Proud grandmother of Nicholas Chowning, Zachary Chowning, Patience Chowning, Truestin Barnes, Georgie Chowning, Gregory Chowning, Earl Johnson, Steven Chowning, Michael Chowning, Ashley Malone, Aaron (Monica) Chowning, and Thomas Chowning.

Wanda was a dedicated wife and mother of 5 children. She enjoyed gardening, fishing, and reading as well as spending time with all of her loved ones. She brought the room to life. All will greatly miss her.

Friends will be received on Thursday, September 19 from 5-7pm, at Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home, 120 W. Main St., Blanchester, where services will begin at 7pm.
