Wanda Carey, age 77, lovingly known to her grandchildren as "Greatmom" passed away January 12, 2026, leaving behind a family who cherished her deeply.

Wanda lived a life centered on love, family, and quiet strength-with a sassy spirit that kept everyone smiling and on their toes. Being a great-grandmother and having four generations of family was something she was immensely proud of, and it brought her great joy to see her family grow through the years. To her grandchildren and great grandchildren, she was more than a matriarch-she was a Greatmom, a name that reflected both her fierce love and her unforgettable personality.

She will be remembered for her kindness, her unwavering devotion to her family, and her sassy wit that made every moment a little brighter. Her presence was comforting, her love was steady, and her influence will continue to be felt for generations to come.

Wanda is survived by her loving husband, Steve Carey; her daughter, Carolyn (the late Clinton) Estes; her stepchildren, Shane (Jessica) Carey, and Brandy (Todd) Sovak; her grandchildren, Courtney (Nick) Miller, Maddie Carey, Mason Carey, Xander Sovak and Zoey Sovak; and her two great-grandchildren, Harper Miller and Sophia Miller.

Family and friends will be received on Monday, January 19 from 5-7 PM in the Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home, 129 N. Riverside Ave., Loveland, where funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 20 at 10 AM. Interment Rose Hill Cemetery.

Wanda's legacy lives on through her family, who will carry her love-and her sass-with them always. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
