Virginia "Honey" Kleiner (nee Yates), 74, of Findlay, beloved mother and grandmother, died June 25 at 2:20 pm in Cincinnati with her sons at her bedside. She was preceded in death by Gordon M. Kleiner, her husband of 45 years. She is survived by her daughter, Melissa of Findlay, sons, Kurt (Alison) of Toronto and Karl (Sarah) of Cincinnati, and four grandchildren, Genya, Toni, Conrad and Mitchell. Also surviving are brothers, David Yates of Oak Ridge, Tennessee, and Dick Yates of Portage, Pennsylvania. Virginia was born Sept. 1, 1937 in Somerset, Pennsylvania. She graduated from Findlay College in 1959, where she and Gordon met and married. They made their home in Findlay, where they worked and raised their three children. Over the years Virginia was an elementary school teacher, children's librarian, and pre-school educator. Virginia and Gordon were life-long members of the College First Church of God. Virginia and Gordon owned and operated the Children's Corner Pre-School and Child Care Center from 1984 to 2002. Her passion and love for children and teaching made their pre-school a special place for all their kids and their co-workers for 25 years. Virginia will be remembered always for her laughter and her "gift for gab". The friendships she made from college, the church, and the daycare were forever dear to her. Visitaton will be held from 7 to 9 PM on Friday, July 6, 2012 at the College First Church of God, Findlay, OH. Funeral services will be held at 11a.m. Saturday July 7, 2012 at the College First Church of God, Findlay, OH with Rev. William H. Reist officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery.
