Victor Lee Tissandier, Jr., a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away on May 13, 2026, in Hillsboro, Ohio. Born on January 26, 1946, in Mariemont, Ohio, Victor lived a full and meaningful life marked by dedication to his family, his country, and his craft.
Victor was a proud veteran of the United States Army, having served his country with honor and distinction. Following his military service, he pursued a career as a carpenter, a profession through which he demonstrated exceptional skill and artistry before retiring. His passion for woodworking was not only reflected in his career but also cherished as a personal hobby alongside his love of hunting and fishing, activities that connected him deeply to the outdoors and his community.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Gloria (Schwegler) Tissandier. He is lovingly remembered by his children: Darrin (Sue) Tissandier, Adam (Jancy) Tissandier, Jamie (Sandy) Tissandier, and Rebekah (Joel) King. Victor’s legacy continues through his cherished grandchildren: Hahna (Jerome) Kunkel, Lydia (Zac) Crone, Myla Tissandier, Kiah Tissandier, Macey (Deven) Gibson, Addison Tissandier, Kaelyn Tissandier, Sean Tissandier, Alex (Hanna) Tissandier, Anthony (Kali) Tissandier, Emily Tissandier Sparks, Grace King, Jonas King, Isabel King, and Asher King. His great-grandchildren, numbering six, also carry forth his memory.
Victor was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Victor and Kathleen (Shaffer) Tissandier.
The funeral service will be held at 1PM on Monday, May 18, 2026, at Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home, 120 W Main St., Blanchester, Ohio, where friends will be received from 11AM until the time of service.
Interment will take place at Five Mile Cemetery, Mt. Orab, Ohio.
