Vera Shorten, (nee Rahe) was born September 9, 1961 to the late Fred and Rosa (nee Harris) Rahe and passed away April 6, 2017 at the age of 55. She worked for Cintas and loved gardening and spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Dan Shorten; daughter, Jackie (Jeremy) Head; grandchildren, Michelle Shorten and Jeremy Head Jr.; grandpuppy, Snoopy; brother, Joe (Lynda) Rahe; sister, Brenda Rahe; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Memorial services will be held on Wednesday April 12, 2017 at the Tufts Schildmeyer Family Funeral Home, 120 W. Main St. Blanchester, OH 45107, where friends will be received from 12 noon until time of service. Family suggests memorial contributions be directed to the American Cancer Society P.O.
