Thomas Rizzuto, Sr., passed away August 19, 2026, at the age of 83 in Georgetown, Ohio. Thomas was born on June 28th, 1943, to Rosario and Frances Rizzuto in Newark, New Jersey. 

Thomas served 6 years from 1964-1970 in the United States Navy in the Vietnam War. After the military, he was a grocery store clerk for 25 years at Food Basket and Lucky in San Diego, California. He loved to spend time with his family, enjoyed watching sports on TV, spending time outside, had a way with getting people to laugh and smile and always had a smile on his face. 

Devoted father of Angela Rose (Ignacio) Escobar and Thomas Rizzuto, Jr. Cherished grandfather of Chandlor Erickson, Jorge Escobar, Monica Escobar, Karla Escobar, and Ericka Escobar. Caring great-grandfather of Blaire Escobar and Santi Escobar. Thomas Rizzuto, Sr. was preceded in death by his mother, father, brother Joseph, and his sister Rose and her husband Billy.

Family and friends will be received from 11 AM to 12 PM, Thursday, August 27, 2026, at Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home, 129 N Riverside Ave, Loveland, OH 45140, where a Celebration of Life for Thomas will begin at 12 PM. Donations in Thomas's memory may be directed to the Georgetown Ohio Veterans Home, 2003 Veterans Blvd, Georgetown, OH, 45121.
