Son of the late Leo and Rosalia Buck. Brother and Brother-in-law of Agnes M. Carraher and the late Francis Carraher. Uncle of Susan (Mark) Celsor. Thomas graduated from St. Xavier High School in 1945 and Xavier University in 1950. Thomas Served his country in the United States Navy during WWII.
