Thomas Lee Beard

Tom Beard, of Mason, Ohio, passed away at home on May 8, 2025, at the age of 70. He fought a long and difficult battle with many health challenges.

Tom retired December 2023 after 36 years with Gardner Business Media in Newtown, Ohio as Executive Vice President. Tom was born in Mansfield, Ohio and graduated from Malabar High School, where he was talented in music, basketball and baseball. He graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a degree in English Literature. He was successful in advertising, writing, editing and content management throughout his career.

In addition to his parents, Charles and Lorene, Tom is preceded in death by brothers Charles Jr., and Michael. Surviving is Susan, his wife of 44 years, and daughter Dr. Allison Beard (Cody Chen), Michael Beard, and TJ Beard (Melvin Wah), and his brother Marshall Beard (Karol Beard).

His world revolved around his wife Sue and their children, and he enjoyed many trips around the world either through business or to visit his children.

The visitation will be held at Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home, 129 N. Riverside Drive, in Loveland, Ohio on May 21, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
