Obituary

Thomas A. Nestor passed away at home in the company of his family after a long and valiant battle with prostate cancer. He is deeply missed by his wife Maureen and his children, Erin (Rebecca Denk) Nestor, Terry (Brigid Horne) Nestor, and Jennifer (Dave) Waddell. Hisgrandchildren, Conor Nestor, Cara Nestor and Sadie Waddell were veryfortunate to know him. Tom and Maureen met in the first grade at St. Rose's in Cleveland, Ohio. They were married twenty years later and have spent the last 46years together, raising a family which now spreads from Cincinnati toSeattle. As his children grew Tom attended nearly every sporting event, school play, Christmas pageant, and fundraiser in which they participated. He was a proud Irishman, an active member of the parish of Good Shepherd, a lover of Notre Dame football, and an avid fan of the chocolate chip cookie. Tom was the dear brother of Betty Patty, James Nestor and the late Jack, Joe and Al Nestor and the late Margie Bader. He is survived by nieces and nephews with whom he actively fostered long and ongoing ties. In many ways, he was like a second father to everyone in his extended family. Tom's greatest love was his wife, Maureen, with whom he spent nearly his entire life. He was a devoted husband, steadfast and unwavering in his love, through both good times and bad. Maureen's terrible lossis tempered by the knowledge that he loves her still, and they willone day be reunited in Heaven.
