Thaddeus Chadwick Hollon Jr., 74, of Blanchester, went to be with the Lord on September 30, 2014.
Chad was the beloved husband of Wilma (Combs) Hollon for 24 years; loving father of Chad "LC" (Debbie) Hollon III, Brett Michael (Anita) Hollon, Scarlett Desiree Ann (Hollon) Kosar (Ron Sutton), Brian Roll; Proud grandfather of Kelli, Kiley, Amber, Jerimiah, Karis, Hannah, Demi, Deter, and Rachel; Great-Grandfather of Holly, Mason, Braxton, Lilly Mae, Hayden, and Tobi Kay; Brother of Brenda (Peter Craig) Hollon, Linda (Cliff) Craig, and Dr. John (Jennifer) Hollon; nephew of Annabel Rowe; he also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents Thaddeus Chadwick and Margaret Hollon.
Chad served his community throughout his life, including most recently holding the position as Mayor of Blanchester. He also served on the Blanchester Chamber of Commerce, as a councilman, a member of Rotary Club, served on the Blanchester Life Squad Board, and he was a member of the Blanchester Senior Center. When Chad was not lending time to his community he stayed busy as the President and CEO of Thad Hollon Trucking Inc., serving as a church trustee at Grace United Methodist Church, President of the Ohio Milk Haulers Association, International Milk Haulers Association, and Ohio Sanitation Board for the Department of Agriculture. He enjoyed participating in various groups, such as, Clinton County Country Squares, Clinton County Republican Club, Lions Club, The Antique Truck Club of America, and The American Truck Historical Society.
A funeral service for Chad will be held Saturday October 4, 2014 at 10 AM at Grace United Methodist Church, 201 E. Center St., Blanchester, OH 45107.
Friends will be received Friday, October 3, 2014 from 4PM to 8PM at Tufts Schildmeyer Family Funeral Home, 120 W. Main St., Blanchester, Ohio 45107.
Interment will take place at Sugar Grove Cemetery, Wilmington, Ohio.
