Suzanne Marie Seehafer passed away peacefully on December 31, 2022, in Loveland, Ohio, at the age of 90 with her husband, Marlyn, by her side.
Susie was born in Boscobel, Wisconsin on April 25, 1932, to the late Ralph and Eldeen Payne. She was preceded in death by her brother, Robert (Vivian) and her sister, Sharon Christensen (Conrad).
She was married to the love of her life, Marlyn Seehafer, for 69 years. They were married on June 20, 1953, in Marshfield, WI. In addition to Wisconsin, they lived in Virginia, California, Pennsylvania, Ohio and wintered in Arizona for 10 years. They enjoyed extensive travel domestically and internationally.
She had a degree in medical technology from the University of Wisconsin and was a diehard Badger fan. She was a devoted homemaker and was a volunteer for Head Start in Pittsburgh and Altar Guild with her church. In her free time, she enjoyed genealogy, bridge, crossword puzzles, sewing, ceramics, and golfing at Kenwood Country Club. Susie will be remembered for her beautiful blue eyes.
She had two children - Russell Seehafer (Janet) and Ellen Pharis (Bob). She was blessed with five grandchildren - Russell Seehafer (engaged to Diana Kuan), Michael Seehafer (Maria), Natalie Butterfield (Corey), Jeff Pharis (Abby), and Cambryn Pharis. She was also very proud of her five great grandchildren - Esme' Seehafer, Jiwoo Seehafer, Kayu Seehafer, Reid Pharis, and Wade Pharis.
Services will be held at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 7701 Kenwood Road, Cincinnati, OH 45236 on Saturday, February 4, 2023. Visitation will be at 10:00am followed by the memorial service at 11:00am. Guests are welcome to join the family for lunch immediately following the service at 12:00pm in the Fellowship Hall.
Burial will be in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Marshfield, WI at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 7701 Kenwood Road, Cincinnati, OH 45236 or Hospice of Southwest Ohio, 7625 Camargo Road, Cincinnati, OH 45243.
