Susan Christine Saltz Rhodes, age 74, of Cincinnati, Ohio, formerly of Atlanta, Georgia, passed away surrounded by love.

Susan was, above all else, a mother first. She would do anything for her children, and her devotion to them defined her life. She is survived by her son, David Saltz, and her daughter, Emilie Fleming(spouse Ryan Fleming), and her beloved grandchildren, Ryder and Easton, who brought her immense joy in her later years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Ursula Rhodes, and her sister, Penny Hodges.

Susan had a lifelong love of interior design, though she ultimately chose to stay home and raise her children while they were young. During those years, she poured herself into loving, supporting, and encouraging them, guiding them as they grew. When they were older, she returned to the workforce, first in accounting, and later discovered a new passion in the restaurant industry where she played a key role in managing the opening of Roly Poly restaurants throughout the Cincinnati area, a chapter of her life that brought her pride and purpose.

Later, Susan followed her deep love for animals, becoming a dog groomer. She adopted her cherished toy poodle, Bailey, whom she adored and lovingly spoiled.

The final chapter of Susan's life, though marked by the challenges of Alzheimer's progression, was also filled with light. She found joy in daily walks, delighted in the presence of her grandchildren, and continued to bring happiness to those around her with her warm smile and gentle spirit.

Susan will be deeply missed and forever loved.

A celebration of life for Susan will be held at the Copperfield Clubhouse, 12135 Copperfield Drive, Sharonville, OH 45241 on Friday, January 30, 2026 from 5-7pm.
