Susan D. Haddix of Loveland passed away with her family by her side on September 25, 2020, at the age of 63 years. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband and best friend of 41 years, Jeff Haddix, and her children, Kathy Haddix, Lauren (Doug) Christensen, and Steven (Lauren) Haddix. Better known as "Nana" to her grandchildren, she was a cherished grandmother of Oliver Christensen, Claire Marek, and newly born Dorothy Mae Christensen. Dear sister of Richard (Sylvia) Williams and Robert (Patti) Williams. Preceded in death by her parents Muriel and William G. Williams and a brother, Donald Williams. Susan will be greatly missed by numerous relatives and friends.
Susan was a former elementary teacher and continued to pass on her love of reading to others throughout her life. Always giving books, she was known to write special messages inside the covers to inspire even the youngest readers. At home, Susan was often found sitting on the porch with her beloved dogs, watching her children and grandchildren going for walks around the pond. She appreciated the beauty of nature and loved having her toes in the sand at the beach. She most recently reconnected with her passion for art by studying watercolors and painting beautiful landscapes.
A Celebration of Susan's Life will be held on Saturday, October 24 at 12 PM in the Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home, 129 N. Riverside Ave., Loveland, where friends will be received from 11 AM until time of service.
