Sue Pack-Konicki 71 of Debary, FL and former resident of West Chester, OH passed away on June 3, 2017 at home with her husband Blaise S. Konicki Jr. at her bedside.
Sue was born November 15, 1945 in Portsmouth, OH and was raised in South Shore, KY just across the Ohio River. She is preceded in death by her Father, Alvin Pack and Step-Mother Carrie Pack, her Mother, Carrie Baker and Step-Father George Baker, Sisters-in Laws, Maddie Pack and Anita Apodaca, and Nephew, Lee Pack.
Sue was a caring and loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, Great-Aunt and Friend to many. Survivors include her Husband Blaise Konicki of Debary, FL, two Sons, James Konicki (Amanda) and Grand-daughters Dawn, Emily and Kelli of Mason, OH, Donald (Tara) Konicki and Grandsons Dan and Ryun Konicki of West Chester, OH. Mother-in-Law, Loween Konicki of Huber Heights, OH. Sister-in-Laws, Kathy Konicki (Sandy Haines) of Ft. Myers, FL and Carol Konicki of Rio Rancho, NM. She is also survived by her siblings, one Sister, Pauline Barker (Lonnie) of Springfield, MO., and her Brothers, James Pack (Phyllis) of Frankfort, KY and Alvin Denny Pack of Santa Fe, NM.
Sue was an educator for 30 years, she earned her BA from Moorhead State University in 1968 and her MA in Education from University of Cincinnati. She began her teaching career in English in 1968 at Glen Este, also taught at Clermont NE and for 26 years at Great Oaks Career Campuses having taught at both Live Oaks and Scarlet Oaks, retiring in 1998.
Sue loved to travel and had been to all but two states, she loved photography and took pictures wherever she traveled and at family functions. She also was an avid reader and enjoyed baking and making her own candies at Christmas for family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.
A celebration of Sue's life will be held at 1:00 pm on July 29, 2017 at Faith Community United Methodist church at 8230 Cox Rd. in West Chester, OH with Julie Alsip Associate Pastor officiating. Her family will receive friends and relatives two hours prior to the service from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. A private burial will be at a later time and place to be determined by family.
