Steve of Anderson Township. Beloved Husband of Helen Mischenko (Nee Kenning). Loving father and father-in-law of Mary Sue Mischenko and Paul Gabbert, Sally and Jim Shumaker, Stephen and Joyce Mischenko. Devoted grandfather of Daniel Edghill, James Edghill, Sam (Maggie) Mischenko, and Max Mischenko. Also survived by 2 nieces Lisa Bowen and Paula Bowen. Steve was Honorably Discharged from the United States Army. He served in WWII under General Patton as a Tank Crewman in Tunisia, Naples-Foggia, Rome-Arno, and Africa. He received 3 Bronze Stars. Tuesday August 30, 2016 age 91. Committal Service prayers will take place at the Chapel of Gate of Heaven Cemetery Friday September 2nd at 11:00am. Family request that memorial contributions in memory of Steve be directed to the local chapter of the Salvation Army.
