Stephen Matthew Matson of Loveland, OH, passed away on September 23, 2025, at the age of 76. Stephen was born on May 25, 1949, in Laramie, Wyoming, to Morris and Marjorie Matson.

Stephen is the beloved husband of 44 years to Caron Sue (nee Gosser) Matson, loving father of Penny (Leo) Fernandes, Michael (Bobbi Jo) Matson, Talon Matson and Matthew Matson, caring grandfather of Dani Matson, Damien Matson, Sandon Fernandes, Katy (Mason Wyatt) Henry, McKennah Cione, Ayden Cione, Killian Matson and Gunner Matson, proud great-grandfather of Waylen Wyatt, Bo Matson and Ryder Matson, dear brother of John (Susie) Matson, Mark (Becky) Matson, Janice Robinson, Kristy Roy-Matson and the late Pat Matson and Mike Matson and cherished son of the late Morris Norman and Marjorie Katherine (nee Banyard) Matson. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and many dear friends.

Stephen proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War to the Gulf War. He retired from the Army after 23 years of service.

A Memorial Service will follow at a later date at Ft. Logan National Cemetery in Colorado.
