Sister Mary Jane
Kreidler
November 14, 1940 – February 2, 2024
Sr. Mary Jane Kreidler, baptized Mary Judith, ("Judy") passed away on February 2, 2024. She was born November 14, 1940 to Walter and Mary Jane (Overman) Kreidler and was sister of Mary Beth (Kreidler) Conover (preceded by Richard Conover) and Fr. Thomas Kreidler. She was a loving aunt of Christine Burke (Mike) and Cathleen Timke (Dave). She took joy in being a great aunt of Jenah Farrell, Kaitlyn Timke, and Connor Burke. She was devoted pet owner of Minerva (previously to Ellie Mae and Lily).
Sister Mary Jane dedicated her life ministering to all of God's people. She taught grade school in Cincinnati and Wisconsin 1964-1970; Head of House of Studies 1970-1972; started Harambee Community School/principal 1972-1978; served at St. Francis Parish while completing her PhD studies at Marquette 1978-1987; taught theology and ran the retreat program at Loyola College in Baltimore 1987-2006; and served as Parish Life Director at Our Lady of the Mountains Parish in Stanton, Kentucky 2006-2022. As a teacher, school administrator, retreat director, and parish life director, she spent her life tending to people's spiritual, physical, and emotional needs. Her impact was felt by so many and she will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be from 8:30-10:00 on Saturday, February 10, 2024 at Immaculate Heart of Mary on Beechmont Avenue. A mass of Christian Burial will follow. Memorials can be made to Our Lady of the Mountains Parish in Stanton, Kentucky. (1093 E College Ave. Stanton, Ky 40380).
