Shirley Ann Gredig, 84, passed away on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at her home in Loveland, Ohio. Her final days were spent surrounded by family and friends. She was born on December 6, 1936, in Cincinnati, Ohio to Harry and Gladys Purkiser. She is survived by her beloved husband of 64 years, Don, and her children Rachel Bachman (Frank), Teri Cunningham (Tim), and Deborah (Dee Dee) Walker (Steve). She is also survived by her grandchildren Nikole Ballard, Brieh Walker, Tait Cunningham, Darbi Walker and great grandchildren, Kallie, Delanie and Remie along with many relatives and friends. Shirley was preceded in death by her siblings, Harry Jr., Richard (Dick), Kenny, Carl, Gladys and Alma. She worked for the Loveland Board of Education for many years and later moved to Dillard's department store where she retired to enjoy time with her family. A heartfelt thanks to Right at Home caregivers Dottie Peoples and Shania Cummings for their daily care, kindness, and compassion. The family would also like to thank Meghan from Right at Home for coordinating Shirley's care and Lynn, Rachel and Paula from Hospice of Cincinnati for their concern and empathy as Shirley transitioned from this world to rejoice in heaven. Shirley gifted her body to science. A private service will be held once the cremains are returned to the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the American Diabetes Foundation or Hospice of Cincinnati.
