Sherry L. Spurlock, age 45, passed away Tuesday, November 12, 2013 after a long battle with colon cancer. She is survived by her parents Tom and Agnes Spurlock, sister Stacy Shepherd (Tim) and nieces Jenna and Jessica Shepherd, members of the Roberts and Spurlock families and many, many friends. A 1985 graduate of Norwood High School, employed by People Working Cooperatively, Sherry was a blogger, poet, screenwriter and novelist. She fought so courageously with such grace for three years. Sherry was never her cancer. She was a radiant smile, a fresh sense of humor, a courageous and humble soul. Her beauty permeated all aspects of her life and will live on through her writings and the lives of those she has touched. A Celebration of Sherry's Life will be held on Saturday, November 30, 2013 at Montgomery Community Church, 11251 Montgomery Road, Cincinnati, OH 45249. Visitation will start at 11:00 am and continue up to the service at 1:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Cincinnati, an organization that made such a difference in Sherry's life.
