Sherry Ann Burns Hofmann, age 79, beloved wife of Dr. William B. Hofmann, dear mother of William C. Hofmann (Alyce), Jennifer Lynn Rolfsen (Jeff), and Melissa Ann Zobrist (Jeff), passed away on September 3, 2016, after a long illness. She was born on January 19, 1937, in Springfield, Massachusetts, to Roger and Marion Burns. She attended Cathedral High School in Springfield, Massachusetts and attended Albertus Magnus College in New Haven, Connecticut. She went on to attend Columbia University School of Nursing, graduating in 1958. She and William were married on July 1, 1961 and eventually settled in Cincinnati, Ohio where they built a life and raised a family. She is preceded in death by her parents Roger and Marion Burns, her sister Mary Margot Bannon, and her grandson Matthew David Zobrist. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband William, her sister Linda Welch (Tom), her children William, Jennifer and Melissa, her 10 grandchildren, as well as her nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews. Visitation will be held Friday, September 9, 2016 at Tufts-Schildmeyer Funeral Home, 129 Riverside Drive, Loveland, Ohio 45140 from 5-7 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Columban Church, 894 Oakland Road, Loveland, Ohio 45140 on September 10, 2016 at 10:00 AM, Father Larry Tensi presiding.
