Shannon Wilder of Goshen, Ohio. Cherished son of the late Henry and Hattie (nee Taylor) Wilder. Loving husband of 72 years to the late Esther Wilder. Caring father of Sharon (Harry) Coleman, Terri (Lloyd) Brown, and Pam Wilder. Devoted grandfather of Sarah (Nate) Edwards, Laura (Rex) Hendrickson, Emily (Kip) Kennedy, and Cheravon (Darrick) Davidson. Cherished great-grandfather of Coleman Hendrickson, Joshua Davidson, and Sydney Davidson. Dear brother of the late Warren (Evelyn) Wilder and Stella (Joe) Backs. Shannon passed away peacefully on December 13, 2025, at the age of 97.

Shannon was born in Goshen Township and lived his whole life there except for a short period when his family moved to Kentucky and his time in the Army.

Shannon was a proud Army veteran of the Korean War and enjoyed attending the 14th Regiment of the 25th Division reunions.

Family and friends will be received from 10:00-12:00PM on Wednesday, December 17th at Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home, 129 N Riverside Ave, Loveland, OH 45140, with a service to follow. Interment at Hopewell Cemetery, with military honors.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Shannon's memory may be directed towards the Wounded Warrior Project.
