Obituary

Seth Alan Benesh, 43 years old, resident of Loveland, Ohio, formerly of Versailles, Ohio, passed away at home on June 25, 2018. Seth graduated from Versailles High School in 1993. He attended Miami University to study management information technology, and was a charter member in the Eta Phi chapter of his fraternity, Sigma Pi. It was there that he met his wife, Dena Davis Benesh. After graduating Cum Laude from Miami in 1997, he began a career as a consultant at Ernst & Young as a PeopleSoft integration expert. His IT career spanned 20 years of traveling consulting work on challenging projects in Indianapolis, Connecticut, Detroit, Boston, St. Louis, Palo Alto and Cincinnati for firms Capgemini, Zannett, KPMG, and most recently Centric. He married Dena in 2000. The couple loved spending time together at sporting events, trying out new breweries and attending concerts, especially Pearl Jam and Eddie Vedders. They welcomed son Nicholas in 2012 and daughter Leah in 2015. He was a devoted dad, often reducing them to fits of giggles with his games, expressions and impersonations. Being a big kid himself, he connected with children, and in the past year, worked as a substitute teacher at Kings, Indian Hill, Madeira and Milford schools while caring for his young children. No one could make his family and friends laugh as hysterically as Seth could with his stories of his adventures and the characters he met along the way. He was a true joy and his smile lit up every room he entered. He is dearly missed by his beloved wife Dena Davis Benesh, his children Nicholas Hanson (5) and Leah Jane (2), parents Gary and Gail Benesh of Greenville, sister Shelly Benesh Hausman, brother-in-law Todd Hausman, nephew Mathias Hausman and niece Greta Hausman of Sunnyvale, California, aunt Amy Hanson of Augusta, Maine, uncles David Benesh of San Francisco, James Benesh of Coral Springs, Florida, aunt Debi DeWitt of Pittsburgh, in-laws Jerry and Edna Davis and brother-in-law Greg Davis of Charleston, SC. He was predeceased by grandparents Rev. Alvin and Roberta Hanson, and James and Pearl Benesh. All are welcome to join the celebration of life on Monday, July 2, 2018 at 11:00 am with visitation beginning at 9:30 am at Tufts Schildmeyer Family Funeral Home, 129 N.
