Obituary

On Sunday, August 28, 2022, Scot Peter Neisel, loving husband and devoted father of three, passed away peacefully at the age of 57. He was born to Peter Neisel and Nelia Pynn in Fairport, New York on January 29, 1965. He will be missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his wife, Dorinda, mother, Nelia Pynn, father, Peter Neisel, stepmother, Mickey Neisel, his three children, Kaitlin, Jared, and Lydia, his sister Deborah Neisel-Sanders, and a large extended family. Scot's biggest accomplishment was marrying the love of his life, Dorinda Keeton, on June 16th, 1990. They met within weeks of Dorinda arriving at college, and for the next 37 years were intrepid partners on all the wonders life brought their way. This includes raising three wonderful children, Kaitlin, Jared and Lydia, who were the light of his life. Scot graduated from Fairport High School in 1983 and went on to attain a degree in Business Administration from Ohio University in 1987 and an MBA from Miami University in 1988. From an early age he developed a strong love for sports and a passion for running and lacrosse. His love of lacrosse followed him from high school to college and eventually to becoming a high school lacrosse referee for 20 years. Similarly, his love of running saw him complete many marathons, half marathons and other races, earning him several medals along the way. Scot was known for his quiet, kind and hardworking nature. He was selfless and giving to everyone around him in a way that made him special to those in his life. He was an involved member of several churches over the years where he served in various capacities, including as a deacon and a leader of men's study groups. Scot also worked for 20 years as a Project Manager for Cincinnati Bell and 11 years as Vice President of Product Implementation at Fifth Third Bank. Throughout his long career, he received several accolades and awards attesting to his professionalism and hardworking spirit. No description of Scot's life would be complete without mentioning what a pushover he was for his dogs, of which he loved many throughout his life.
