Samuel "Sam" M. Howry, age 88 of Pleasant Plain, Ohio. Born on December 27, 1924 in San Antonio, Texas. Went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 7, 2013. Beloved husband of 67 years to Marion E. (MacKinnon) Howry. Loving father of Linda (Dave) Bamerlin, Rick (Janet) Howry and Roger (Brenda) Howry. Caring grandfather of Jenny Teeters, Jeff Strittholt, Kimberly (Andy) Stamas, Brent (Nora) Howry and Lisa (Evan) Senter. Proud great-grandfather of Madison Teeters, Morgan Teeters, Kallan Stamas and Ella Senter. Dear brother of the late Wiley Howry and Mabel Jackson. Cherished son of the late Frank M. and Nannie J. (Wiley) Howry. Sam proudly served in the United States Navy during World War II. Services will be held on Thursday, July 11, 11 AM at Pleasant Plain Presbyterian Church, 10198 St. Rt. 132, Pleasant Plain, where friends will be received from 10 AM until the time of service. Interment with military honors at Goshen Cemetery.
