Samuel Jay Allen, 49, of Blanchester, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, November 7, 2017. He was the beloved husband of Joyce Allen; proud father of Keith Allen, Patrick Henson, Rodger (Tamara Wolfe) Allen, Phillip Henson, and Preston Allen Gilbert; loving grandfather of Hayden Samuel Allen and Nathan Riley Stover; dear son of Barbara Allen; nephew of Bobby (Genevia) Lay, Jim (Jolene) Lay, and Darrel (Debbie) Lay; son-in-law of Betty Gilbert; brother-in-law of Robert Gilbert, Wayne (Maggie) Gilbert, and Linda Kain; he is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Samuel was preceded in death by his father Samuel Allen. Friends will be received on Thursday, November 9, 2017 from 6-8pm at Tufts Schildmeyer Family Funeral Home, 1668 St. Rt. 28, Goshen, Ohio 45122. A funeral service will be held at 10am on Friday, November 10, 2017 at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Myers Cemetery, Goshen, Ohio.
