Sam Henry Turner born November 15, 1938 in Jackson, KY to the late Newton Turner and Rose (Arrowood) Turner and passed away November 16, 2012 in Wilmington, OH at the age of 74. He was the loving husband of the late Joyce (nee Stamper) Turner and dear friend and companion to Echo Green; caring father of Rosie New of Clarksville, Oh, Brenda Turner of Wilmington, OH, Samuel (Dorothy) Turner of Midland, OH, Linda (Heith) Butler of Lynchburg, OH, and Marsha (Eddie) Huston of Clarksville, OH; proud grandfather of 15 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren; beloved brother of Sara Jane. Sam was preceeded in death by one daughter, Elsie Saylor, two grandchildren, Joseph Turner and Zachary Lanham, great grandchild, Alissa Lanham, brothers Granville, Roger and sisters Naomi and Lisa Lee. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and many dear friends. Sam was owner and operator of Turner Paving. Friends will be received from 6 PM at the Westboro Pentacostal Church, Westboro, OH on Monday November 19, 2012. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Tuesday also at the church with Rev. Delbert Saylor officiating.
