Sally Bell, a long time resident of Howland Township, passed peacefully on Thursday Sept. 22 at the age of 82 at the Lodge Care Center in Loveland, Ohio. She was born in Vandergrift, PA, the daughter of Andy and Jeannie Bell. She was a graduate of Vandergrift High School and attended Slippery Rock University to study elementary education. Sally was very involved in the Howland community and was supportive of her 4 sons and all of their activities. She served on the Howland School Board for 17 years and then served as a Howland Township Trustee for 12 years. Sally truly loved Howland and was proud to serve her community. She loved sports and enjoyed attending all the various sporting activities within in the Howland community. She was an avid Penn State Fan and enjoyed attending many home football games in Happy Vally. She was also a long time Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Sally loved and enjoyed spending time with her children and their families. They were always in her thoughts and love. Sally is survived by her 4 sons Bill Wehmer(Tricia), Rick Wehmer (Bev), Chip Wehmer (Brenda), and Andy Wehmer (Robin); 9 Grandchildren; Sarah Beardmore (Pete), Jessica Walker (Eric), Sean & Samantha Wehmer, Anna, Jonathan & Stephanie Wehmer, and Elise & Julia Wehmer; 7 great-grand children; Bradley, Wrigley, Jameson & Oskar Beardmore, and Maddox, Caedence, and Keegan Walker, her sister, Andrea Townsend (Les) and their children Brian Townsend (Marybeth) and family, and JJ Gosnell (John) and family. There will be a memorial service held for the immediate family at Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Center in Loveland, OH on Saturday, October 22, 2016 at 12:00pm.
