Obituary

Sally Bain Coffman, born September 18,1943 in Flint, Michigan, passed away peacefully on June 23, 2026, at her residence. She was proceeded in death by her parents, Benjamin and Marie Cutarelli Bain, and by her beloved husband David Max Coffman (December 7,2023). Sally is survived by her daughter Kim Coffman, her sister Rosie (Daniels), her nieces and nephews, and her loyal cat Stretch. She moved to #4 Albert Place in Mariemont, Ohio in 1946, where she attended Dale Park Elementary, Mariemont High School, and graduated from Miami University in Oxford. Sally grew up with her childhood friends roaming Dogwood Park, spending time at Miljoie Stables, swimming and biking around the village until the streetlights came on. Sally later enjoyed cruising in her mom’s red 1956 T Bird convertible! She was an accomplished seamstress, even winning a design contest in high school – though it meant missing her Senior Class trip to Washington, D.C.! After marriage, Sally lived in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, Milford, Indian Hill and Terrace Park, Ohio where her home was warm, welcoming and pet friendly! Her life was filled with creativity, curiosity and service. She loved reading (especially with her informal book club), sewing, gardening and horseback riding. She gave generously her time and energy to volunteer work, including Mari Elders, Terrace Park and Mariemont Garden Clubs, Tri-T Club, and various other clubs. Sally enjoyed her years working retail at Talbots, where she formed lasting friendships. She and Dave also treasured their vacations in Palm Springs with Kim who would often meet them from Texas. Sally was always grateful for the Terrace Park Police and the Volunteer Life Squad, whose kindness and care over the years meant so much to her. She will be remembered for her joyful outlook, her positive, fun-loving spirit, her ever-present smile and her ability to make every person feel seen and valued.
