Ruth Anna (nee Ruffner) Stokes of Morrow, Ohio. Became our angel in Heaven on Sunday, September 20, 2020 with family by her side at the age of 73. Born on September 14, 1947 in Morrow, Ohio to Charles Marion and Betty Lorraine (nee Holland) Ruffner. Ruth graduated from Little Miami High School in 1965. Ruth married Charles Larry Stokes in 1966. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and loved caring for her family. She is survived by her five loving children; Vickie (Victor Bell) Hormel, Chad (Kati Burns) Stokes, Amy (Jimmy) Oakes, adopted daughter, Kimberly Boatright and adopted son, Chad Hegge, 9 proud grandchildren; Nikki (Ron Creech) Adams, Cassy (John Hummerick) Hormel, Summer (Rock Ault) Hormel, Brian Stokes, Dylan Stokes, Coby Collins, Anna Kolton Ciara Books and Dalton Books, 5 caring great-grandchildren; Naomi Adams, Logan Graham, Dakota Gerondale, Priscilla Creech and John Hummerick, dear sister; Sylvia J. Cox; two sister-in-laws, Fay Williams and Carolyn Dotson, two nieces; Wendy McDaniel and Samantha Brinson. Also survived by many relatives and dear friends. Ruth is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles Larry Stokes; loving son, Charles Scott Stokes, great-granddaughter; Nevaeh Adams, her cherished parents; Charles Marion and Betty Lorraine (nee Holland) Ruffner, sister-in-law; Gail Hurst and brother-in-law, Kenneth Cox. Services will be held on Wednesday, September 23, 12 Noon at Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home, 1668 St. Rt. 28, Goshen, where friends will be received from 10 AM until the service. Interment, Goshen Cemetery, Goshen TWP, Ohio. Memorial donations may be made in memory of Ruth Stokes to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, 4440 Lake Forest Dr., Suite 120 Cincinnati, Ohio 45242 Pastor Phil Hopper will be the minister for Ruth's services.
