Ruth Burton Grischy of Loveland, Ohio and Moncks Corner, South Carolina. Beloved wife of the late Mel Grischy. Loving mother of Mike (Sandy) Grischy and Cheryl (Samuel Jr.) Schumann. Dear grandmother of Daniel and Melissa Grischy, Samuel III (Lauren), Brandon, Jairus and great granddaughter Anne Louise Schumann. Sister of the late Florence Hykes. She was born March 19 1928 in Kentucky and moved to Cincinnati as an infant. She passed away peacefully at home in Moncks Corner on Sunday March 23, 2014 at the age of 86. She lived most of her life in Loveland Ohio where she and Mel were the king and queen of Fawn Court. Coffee cake or cookies were the welcome wagon she brought to all who moved to the court. Her animals were very dear to her and were waiting for her along with Mel and mother Jane. She was very proud of her family and came to love and nurture many others along the way. Anyone who met Ruth realized quickly she never met a stranger. As the magnet on her refrigerator stated "I'm too much fun to be kept at home'" She participated in many activities and events including bowling and of course Bengals football. She gave away many smiles and kind words to the patients at the Cincinnati Eye Institute where she worked for 16 years. Friends will be received at a memorial service to celebrate her life on Saturday, April 5th from 1 PM to 4 PM at The Loveland Historic Museum 201 N. Riverside Ave. Loveland, OH 45140. Inurnment will be held at the convenience of the family.
