Ruth Bernadette Lofland, 90, died Saturday, June 24, 2006 at Parkview North Hospital Hospice, Fort Wayne, Indiana, following a brief illness. Born in Cincinnati, Ohio to Charles and Lillian (Tenkotte) Wuennemann on January 1, 1916, she lived for many years in Loveland, Ohio, until moving to Fort Wayne, Indiana, in 1985. Ruth was a member of St. Vincent De Paul Church in Fort Wayne. Ruth was a homemaker who lovingly devoted her life to raising children. Surviving are her son Harry (Barbara) Lofland, Jr., of Loveland, Ohio and daughters Carol (Larry) Tumbleson of Moreno Valley, California , Elaine (Robert) Weber, Heather Lofland, and Holly Lofland, all of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Marjorie (William) King of Cincinnati, Ohio and Katherine Hebel also of Cincinnati. She also is survived by eighteen grandchildren, thirty-five great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of forty-one years, Harry Lofland, who died in 1977, and by brothers George and Charles Wuennemann, and sisters Loretta Lofland and Rose Mary Cramer.
