Russell Earl Renner Sr., of Blanchester, Ohio, passed away on May 29, 2022, at the age of 85. Born February 16, 1937, in Stanford, Kentucky, son of Walter and Sarah (nee Faulkner) Renner. Russell worked at General Electric where he retired after 26 years of service. He enjoyed camping, water skiing, farming, yardwork, fishing hunting, woodworking, and sports. Most of all, Russell enjoyed spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed. Russell is survived by his wife of 67 years, Lorene Renner; children, Russell (Diane) Renner, Jr. and Diana (John) Gerard; grandchildren, Marvin Renner, Russell J. Renner, Steven Renner, John Gerard III, Dylan Gerard, Hannah Gerard, Elizabeth Renner, Nicholas Brush, and Ricky Armstrong; 22 great-grandchildren; siblings, Minnie (George) Conner, Ruby (Tommy) Poynter, Kenneth (Sherry) Renner, Don (Ester) Renner, Mack Renner, Steve (Kathy) Renner, Ronnie (Mary) Renner, and Bob (Cindy) Renner. Along with his parents, Russell was preceded in death by his son, Gregory Renner; sisters, Wanda Marks, Roberta Cotton; brother, James Renner. Friends will be received from 6-8pm Monday, June 6, 2022, at Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home, 120 W. Main St., Blanchester, Ohio. Funeral services will begin at 11am on Tuesday, June 7, 2022, at Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home. Interment will take place at Blanchester IOOF Cemetery following the funeral service.
