Russel Donovan Perry, 88, of Kingwood, Texas died Thursday, February 16, 2006 in Humble, Texas after an extended illness. He was born August 27, 1917 in Branch Hill, Ohio to parents Harley and Minnie Waits. He served for the United States Army in the Pacific Theatre during World War II. Mr. Perry lived in Loveland, Ohio where he farmed numerous crops, raised diary cattle, turkeys, and pigs. For many years he raised ponies and showed them throughout the Midwest. Upon retirement he and his wife lived in Bradenton, Florida for eight years before moving to Kingwood, Texas in 2004. He is survived by his wife of 60 years: Rosemary Seigle Perry of Kingwood, Texas; Sons and Daughter-in-laws: Roger Dean and Suzanne Perry of Ocala, Florida and Russel Kim and Rose Perry of Humble, Texas; Grandchildren: Brandon Perry and wife Diannah, Lauren Weaner and husband Alex, Christopher Perry, Dianna Grabowski and husband Gregory and Matthew Perry; Great-grandchild: Kinley Cowart; Sister: Ruth Mathis of Madeira, Ohio; and Brother: James Perry and wife Janice of Loveland, Ohio. He served for the United States Army in the Pacific Theatre during World War II.
