Ruby Smyth (nee Short) of Blanchester, OH was born September 22, 1923 to Joseph and Tena (nee Richie) Short and passed away February 16, 2018 at the age of 94. Ruby retired as a personal care giver and read her Bible everyday. She was a devoted member of the Blanchester Church of the Nazarene. She is survived by her children, Glenna (Richard) Coogan and Tena Johnson; grandchildren, Kevin Johnson and Jeremy Johnson; 7 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren; a brother, Paul Short. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Regan Roark; brothers, James Short, Mark Short and Charles Short. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at 1 PM at the Tufts Schildmeyer Family Funeral Home, 120 W. Main St. Blanchester, OH 45107, where friends will be received from 11 AM until time of service. Interment Murdock Cemetery, Hamilton Twp., OH.
