Loving husband of the late Shirley (nee Kite) Whitaker, dear father of Jo Ann Arnell (Bobby) Lanham and the late Rickie Lee Whitaker, caring grandfather of Ieesha Arnell Miracle, cherished son of the late Paul Arthur and Mildred Eva (Books) Whitaker, loving brother of Eleanor Landis and the late Edger, Howard, and Charles Whitaker, and Marian Bruner. Served in the U.S. Army from 1951 to 1953
