Roscoe "Rocky" Wilder, age 87, of Newtonsville (Wayne Township), Ohio. Born on April 11, 1925 in Loyall (Harlan County), Kentucky and died on September 5, 2012 in Blue Ash, Ohio. Rocky is the beloved husband of the late Helen Marie (Garbe) Wilder, loving father of Steven (Sherry) Wilder and the late Mark Wilder, caring father-in-law of Andrea Wilder, proud grandfather of Bradley, Brittany, Blake, Emily and Matthew Wilder, dear brother of Abraham Wilder, Christine Eldridge, Jewel Wyatt and Lois Conley, cherished son of the late Otis V. and Adeline (Miracle) Wilder. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and many dear friends. Rocky proudly served in the United States Navy during World War II. He was a member of the Owensville Masonic Hamer Lodge. Services will be held on Tuesday, September 11, 12 Noon, at Newtonsville United Methodist Church, 518 Liberty St., Newtonsville, where friends will be received from 11 AM until the time of service. Interment with military honors at Greenlawn Cemetery, Milford, Ohio. Memorial donations may be made in memory of Rocky Wilder to the Newtonsville United Methodist Church, 518 Liberty St., Newtonsville, OH 45158. Pastor Robert Schreiner will be the celebrant for Rocky's services.
