Obituary

In Loving Memory of Ronald "Ron" Edward Vertner of Milford, OH., passed peacefully on May 28, 2025, at the age of 59. Ron was born on August 13, 1965, in Cincinnati, OH to Bob and Margie Vertner.

Ron was a man whose word was his bond, whose heart was always open, and whose embrace could make the world feel right again. He passed away leaving behind a legacy built on honesty, strength, and an unwavering commitment to those he loved.

Ron valued truth above all—his word was his currency, and he spent it generously but never carelessly. You always knew where you stood with him, and that was one of the many ways he showed his deep respect for others. He had a unique way of expressing his love—often in the form of giving you a hard time—but behind every tease was a heart full of affection and a desire to see you grow and stand tall.

To know Ron was to know laughter. His sense of humor was sharp, warm, and perfectly timed. He had the kind of laugh that could fill a room and the kind of hug that could hold you together when everything else was falling apart.

He wore his heart on his sleeve, never hesitating to lend a hand, a shoulder, or a kind word to anyone in need. Ron believed in showing up for people, in doing the right thing simply because it was right, and in being a man of principle even when it wasn't easy.

Ronald Edward Vertner will be remembered not only for the life he lived, but for the lives he touched with his kindness, grit, and unforgettable spirit.

He will be deeply missed, fiercely loved, and forever cherished.

Ron is survived by his beloved wife, Deborah "Debbie" Lynne (nee Donaworth) Vertner, two daughters, Kayla (Ross) Goetz and Kimberly (Jerry) Hicks, one son, William Teegarden, five grandchildren, Steven Schieber, Alex (Ciera) Schieber, Luke Schieber, Ryan Teegarden and Rylie Teegarden, one sister, Cheryl Allgeyer, mother, Margaret "Margie" Christeen (nee Evans) Burton, stepfather, Robert Burton, stepmother, Glenda Vertner, also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and many dear friends.
