Ronald Thomas Cameron, age 55, passed away in peace Sunday, July 22, 2012 at the Ft. Thomas VA Hospital, after losing his battle with cancer. He was surrounded by love and his sister April McCane and niece Samantha Adelsperger were by his side. He was also surrounded by prayer from many of the staff and chaplains at the VA. Ron was beloved by everyone that met him during his two month stay there. He fought hard and kept his dignity until the end of his life. He served his country in the U.S. Army.
Ronald is survived by his loving sister April McCane and her children Samantha Adelsperger, Jonathan "Dex" Newberry and Lorin Writesel. Also survived by his sisters Donna Cameron and Melodie Gibson and her children Lisa Brown (Brad), Rachel Kratzer and Andrew Schnell (Miranda); brothers David Cameron and Charles "Chip" Cameron and his son Daniel Cameron; and his step-mother Virginia Betz. He adored his great nephews and nieces and left behind his buddy J., as well as Connor, Aidan, Madison, R. Bradley and Caleb Brown. Ron was a good brother, good uncle and great-uncle. He will be missed and loved forever.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 4, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. in the Tufts Schildmeyer Family Funeral Home 1668 St. Rt. 28 Goshen, OH 45122, where friends will be received from 2:00 p.m. until time of service.
